About Us

Milimo Community Based Health Care (Milimo CBHC) is a legally registered community-based organization operating in Bungoma County, Kenya

Since its founding in 1978, Milimo CBHC has been at the forefront of grassroots community development, initially established to spearhead integrated Education, Health, and Socio-Economic initiatives for adolescents, youth, women, and vulnerable groups. Over the years, the organization grew from a local self-help group into a structured NGO, maintaining a clear focus on enabling access to quality education, healthcare, and sustainable livelihoods in Bungoma West Sub-County. Milimo CBHC’s commitment spans decades of formal community service. It was registered as a Self-Help Group in 1985, gained status as a Community-Based Organization in 2004, and later became a local Non-Governmental Organization in 2018. This evolution reflects its expanding impact and capacity to serve the community.
